ABOUT US
The Rocky Mountain Rope CourseĀ is designed and built in the spring of 2007 by our two principle owners Paul Vidalin and Christjan Ladurner, who are both internationally certified mountain guides. It is modeled after an amazing flagship course built by Christjan in the Southern Tyrolean Mountains of northern Italy.
Our challenging but fun course consists of 18 different obstacles that take you through the treetops of a mature Spruce and Fir forest. Between each obstacle is a platform to rest, reflect and enjoy the view. The course finishes with a thrilling zip-line descent, which starts from an enormous Douglas Fir tree.
Course obstacles are engineered with the highest quality cable and rope systems available. All safety equipment is UIAA approved. GlovesĀ aren’t necessary as all the cables and ropes are smooth to the touch.
Guides are trained professionals and many are members of the Association of Canadian Mountain Guides or International Federation of Mountain Guides. All have advanced first aid training and carry first aid and emergency equipment including an evacuation rope at all times. The course participant to guide ratio is generally 6:1.
